Richard Wexler
Good morning. My name is Richard Wexler and we have a great episode this morning with Matt Shadle. After completing his undergraduate studies in psychology, Matt went to work serving vulnerable populations, working as an advocate for at-risk youth and adults with developmental disabilities. In the course of working with administrators and beneficiaries of Medicaid Services, he developed an interest in health and public policy and went to work for the State of Colorado in the field of Health Care Regulatory Compliance. After eight years in the public sector, he earned his Masters degree in Health Services Administration and moved into the private sector as the Director of Health Services for a senior living community. As a Retirement Counselor, he guided perspective residents and their families through the important decision of transitioning into a retirement community. Matt finds true fulfillment in applying his background, education, and experience to assist seniors and their loved ones in his role as a Senior Placement Specialist with gentle Hearts Living Solutions. Matt, are you there, Sir?

We have a special guest this morning, Corey Crismon, who is the CEO and Nursing Home administrator of Pioneer Place, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He started in healthcare in 2013 and he eventually received his MBA and had a dream of becoming a CEO of a hospital. After working on the floor for a couple of years, he decided that senior care was definitely the place for him. For a little background, he was born and raised in Eastern Oregon. His mom's family were ranchers and his dad's family were loggers. As a child, they followed his dad to many places, to different logging camps, and lived in a multitude of towns throughout Eastern Oregon. He's been married to his wife for 34 years and they have five children, five grandchildren, two dogs, two cats, and one chicken. Corey, are you there, Sir? Where am I talking to you from? Where are you sitting today?

Folks, another special episode with the tables getting turned again. I’m about to introduce Steph Baierl again, and she's going to come on and kind of ask me some intriguing questions. And again, I hope that she's nice and that they're not too hard. Thank you for quizzing me. So, what do you want to talk about today, ma'am?

Steph Baierl
I am thank you for having me on again, Richard.
I really want to dig in more to “the plan”. How do we start that conversation?
